What Causes Severe Pain In The Breasts Before Menstruation?
Question: So i realised that about 1 or two weeks before me period for the last couple of months i keep having this pain in my left breast. sometimes it is tender to the touch , its more severe the en my right side. I didn't have such bad pms in the past . could it be i'm more unhappy or stressed at work ? I also tend to develop abit of cold before my period. Normally the pain subsides once my period starts. and sometimes appear again for a couple of days after my period.

This type of soreness in breasts in typical for PMS symptoms and can increase with increased levels of stress during the cycle. So you may either use NSAIDS or hot fomentation twice a day to soothe the pain, but if the pain has been recurring and increasing since last few months, then you may take CAP PRIMROSE OIL 1000mg once a day for a week prior to onset of menses and it shall help in reducing PMS symptoms and sore breasts.

Yes it is normal to experience pain at different breast tissue locations and also the pattern differ in different women. you may start these medications from a week prior to start of menses and continue till your menses last. Take them for at least 3 months and you shall realise the difference.
