Question: age 59 female
woke up yesterday morning with severe pain in my heel toward back of foot. pain radiated up the back of lower leg. hurts to put pressure on foot. hurts to bend or flex foot. is worse today. pain is intense - 15 out of 10. have just soaked in warm water w/epsom salt and taken Aleve. I can't get up off couch without assistance.

You seem to be suffering from Plantar fascitis.

Wear only Microcellular rubber (MCR) slippers and comfortable sports shoes. Perform plantar fascia and calf muscle stretching exercises. Continue Epsom soaks. Apply warm packs to the affected region. Walk daily briskly for 45 minutes to keep fit and avoid obesity which can aggravate the condition. Stop taking Aleve. Take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day after meals for 5 days.
