Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
I am sorry to hear that you are having pain in the lower back sacrum area. This is called sacroilitis or SI joint dysfunction. The last segments of the spine called the sacrum attaches to the pelvic bones and that area does move and can get arthritis. There is very little one can do other than NSAIDs massage therapy and physical therapy. This condition is treatable and will wax and wane depending on your activity levels. I do not think there is anything dangerous going on here because there is no other condition that affects the sacrum.
In summary
1. SI joint dysfunction or sacroilitis
2. Massage therapy
3. Physical therapy
4. NSAIDs like ibuprofen
5. If no improvement after these therapies then see your medical provider again for further investigation to the cause of the pain and possible alternative therapy like injections
I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions

Sleeping position will affect pain
Detailed Answer:
Yes sleeping on a too soft bed will aggravate the pain. A good firm mattress or a memory foam type mattress would help reduce the pain
