What Causes Severe Pain In Upper Left Buttock?
Question: I have severe pain in the left upper butucks in the morning. It is extremely hard to walk. It gets better throughout the day.

I am sorry to hear that you are having pain in your buttock. This type of pain is probably sciatica. There is a muscle in your buttocks called the piriformis that has the sciatic nerve piercing it. If this muscle starts spasming then you get severe butt pain and it can radiate down into the leg. During the day that muscle spasms is lessening helping reduce your overall pain. I would recommend seeing a massage therapist and see if they can help reduce that pain and give you some exercises to stretch out the piriformis muscle
