Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The cystic activity the nurse was referring to could be due to many possible conditions or causes, some of which are:

+Ovarian cysts
+Polycystic ovarian syndrome
+Fluctuations in progesterone or oestrogen levels
+Hyperestrogenic state
+Hormonal abnormalities triggered by factors like other medications, high levels of stress, dietary changes, sudden gain or loss of weight, infections, reproductive system related abnormalities, etc.
and a few others.

But taking your age and pattern of symptoms into consideration, conditions like polycystic ovaries is quite possible, especially if you have a history of menstrual irregularities, irregular hair growth in regions uncommon for women, etc. I would also recommend a consultation with your gynaecologist for further evaluation. Please also feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
