What Causes Severe Pain On Left Side Of The Clitoris And Vagina?
Question: I just got back from visiting my long distance boyfriend . A day after returning home (A day after sexual activity) ,I have had sharp pain on the left side of my clitoris and vaginal pain. There is an area of erythema on the left side of my clitoris, with increased sensitivity than baseline. Pain is worsened with urination and after urination, there is burning pain. This has persisted for 3 days and I am now worried. No evidence of an ulceration. Not a UTI. What could it be and how to treat the pain?

The condition you are suffering is known as Honeymoon cystitis.This condition arises after frequent and rough sex after a period of abstinence. It is a common condition and you don't need to worry. Just follow these precautions.
Drink lots of water.
If possible have cranberry juice 3 times a day.
Take Tab Flavospas for pain relief.
Get a urine microscopy examination done.
If you want to have sex then use protection.

Went to an urgent care a day and half ago and was given antibiotics without relief. Urine test was negative. I was however not given an exam. Would this still be consistent with cystitis?
