What Causes Severe Pelvic Pain After Engaging In Sexual Intercourse?
Question: Hi. I'm 38 years old and have been having excruciating pelvic pain for years. I have been through many surgeries and tests with no relief. I've had an endometrial ablation, hysterectomy leaving my ovaries, another surgery to remove my ovary and appendix, and just yesterday a cystoscopy. My pain is usually after sex and lasts for days. It's debilitating. I'm getting very frustrated and depressed.

Pelvic pain can be due to many reasons.
It can be due to gynecological problems or also urinary problems.
It can also be just due to trauma after intercourse.

-an urinalysis

I have had all of these things done over the years, and non have given me answers. Is it possible that the doctors are overlooking something...nerves?

Due to the fact that your pain is related with the sexual intercourse I think that it is a gynecological problem and I strongly recommand an ultrasound and a ct scan for a better diagnose.
