Brief Answer:
Biopsy holds the answer

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I understand your concern. Even though your doctor thinks it is highly unlikely to be cancer, when the polyp will be removed it will still undergo biopsy in order to study the nature (benign or malignant) of the growth and based on the results of the biopsy, your doctor will have a better understanding of your current condition and will be able to decide on the next step of treatment.

Anxiety and fear of an impending diagnosis can sometimes produce physical symptoms that are not necessarily real. Either way, as of now it is a waiting game.

I hope this answers your question and it helped clarify things for you. Please feel free to ask any further questions you may have.

Wishing you good health and all the best.
