What Causes Severe Right Sided Abdominal Pain After A Miscarriage?

Question: After miscarriage i had my period after 30 days with severe pain in my right quadrant going to my right tigh and right leg, i have no other symptoms but the pain is 10 from scale 1 to 10. Should i be concerned? I didnt do d& c after misscarriage as the bleeding stopped after emptying the uters 10 days after.

Brief Answer: Advised to take mephenamic acid&papaverine... Detailed Answer: Hi, I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns. Ovulation is associated with abdominal cramps at the side where it occurs. In your case, ovulation was on right ovary associated with pain in right quadrant. Furthermore, in presence of genital infection, the pain will be more intense. I suggest to take mephenamic acid and papaverine to reduce pain. It will be resolved after bleeding will stop. If the pain will be resolved, then, there is nothing worrisome. If the pain will persist, I suggest to: - do vaginal swab testing - trans-vaginal ultrasound to exclude infection/other genital issues.
