What Causes Severe Severe Stomach And Intestinal Pain That Extends To The Chest 11 Weeks Post Liver Resection For A Small Secondary Endocarcinoma?
Question: 11 weeks post liver resection(a small secondary endocarcinoma). The primary was found in a duct so my gallbladder was removed also. Surgeon said the procedure was curative, no chemo. I have eaten anything and everything since the surgery, until five days ago. I started having severe stomach and intestinal even when I had no eaten anything recently. The pain sometime extends up the middle of my chest and to the left.
Brief Answer:
You should be investigated.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As per your description, it looks like Acid Pepto disease.
I prefer Upper GI endoscopy first. If there is Acid Pepto disease, I will start with Tablet Rabeprazole along with Domperidone.
If Endoscopy is normal, I will prefer Contrast Enhanced CT scan of abdomen. Secondaries in other areas have to be ruled out.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed further.
Till Consultation, you can use painkillers after food.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
