default
Posted on Mon, 10 Aug 2015
Question: I had severe spasaming on my right leg. It started in the tibia and then worked up into my thigh. When I sit there is a muscle in my butt that tightens up my whole right leg. I went to a sports clinic who sent me to a nerolgist. He told me to walk to the door and back pressed on my hands and tested my reflexes and in l0 minutes diagnosed me with Parkinsons. I went to the chiropractor who took xrays and told me I had a severely rotated pelvis. The physiotherapist can see my right leg is twisted and I feellop sided. I have orthodics which showed I am a lot lower with my left leg because it showed when he fitted me for the orthodics. What is my next step to recovery?

Brief Answer:
Your first landmark towards recovery is an MRI scan of your pelvis.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,

1. I would ask you to get re-evaluated for Parkinson's disease. This is because you need to take some medications. These can either be Levodopa or central anticholinergics. Since these medications have some side effects for the benefits you receive from them, you have to sure you have Parkinson's disease in the first place.

2. Since the chiropractors diagnosis and conclusion is totally different, It is necessary to take a radiological scan of your pelvis to determine exactly where the treatment should continue from that point onwards. It just cannot happen without taking a scan.

3. The orthopedician you mention also needs a scan for problems in bones. We cannot make premature conclusions. This is true.

For recovery from your health issues, your first step is get a scan done. An MRI is most appropriate.
