What Causes Severe Stomach Pain, Nausea, Breathing Difficulty, Weakness And Chest Pain?
I am a 61 year old hispanic female with a history of emergency visits for the past four years with anxiety.
Since last August I have been medication-free and taking only alternative natural remedies like Ashwaganda, the B Complex vitamins and Lavela (lavander pills).
For the past few weeks I have severe stomach problems with the symptoms of continuous throbbing, nausea, difficulty breathing and weakness. I've also felt mild stabbing pain in chest area. Sometimes arms and legs feel numb. I've gotten up shaking and trembling and thinking I need something to eat bec my blood levels may have dropped. (I don't have diabetes) I'm afraid to eat because I get the throbbing each time. When I don't eat for a while, I still get severe throbbing, like last night. I am very concerned because since 3 a.m. last night I have been getting awful throbbing that kept me awake all night. From throbbing in stomach to throbbing in my back and up the neck. I was unable to sleep and got up. Went back to sleep because I felt too weak. I ate a quarter piece of a pastry and started to feel the throbbing again. I'm afraid to eat again. But I'm going to eat something now because I've not eaten since 8 p.m. last night.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthCareMagic.com I am Dr.J XXXXXXX Anto Bruno Mascarenhas, and I am here to help you. I have read your question with care and understand that you have severe stomach problems with the symptoms of continuous throbbing, nausea, difficulty breathing and weakness with mild stabbing pain in chest area. Sometimes arms and legs feel numb. From throbbing in stomach to throbbing in back and up the neck. You were unable to sleep and got up.
All these point out to Generalised Anxiety Disorder Episodes
This means that your present treatment " alternative natural remedies like Ashwaganda, the B Complex vitamins and Lavela (lavander pills)." is not working
You have to consult your counsellor / psychologist / psychiatrist at the earliest and take proper medications in appropriate dose. That is the best way forward
If you need any clarification / have doubts / have additional questions / have follow up questions, then please do not hesitate in asking again. I will be happy to answer your questions.
If there is delay in getting appointments, please tell me so that I can suggest drugs till you meet your counsellor / psychologist / psychiatrist
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Best Wishes for Speedy Recovery
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.

I do not have or need a psychologist or psychiatrist. I have spoken to a therapist in the past. I hope to continue to use food as medicine as long as possible. I will use medication as a last resort. I'm sure you understand.
I did set up an appointment with my Primary care doctor for tomorrow. I will take it from there.
Thanks again.
