Brief Answer:
Need to rule out lumbar spine issue...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
At the outset, the thigh pain as well as back ache may not be related to his cardiac problem or angioplasty. Back pain and thigh pain may be related to lumbar spine - lumbar radiculopathy. I will recommend he visits orthosurgeon. A physical examination as well as MRI scan of the back is warranted.
In the interim, he can be started on pain medication. Paracetamol and tramadol combination medicines like ultracet may be used as and when required. Ultracet is a prescription drug. His treating doctor will know about it.
Regards
