![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: My husband is a cancer patient, stage 3. He is allergic to Codiene. He was given Hydrocod/Acetam for pain. He took the first one tonight, he felt some relief from pain soon after taking one 10 Mg tablet. Shortly thereafter he started vomiting, this is happening approx. every 15 minutes.
Does the drug he was given have Codiene in it?
Does the drug he was given have Codiene in it?
Brief Answer:
Hello. Yes it contains a derivative of codeine
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So this drug also contains a derivative of codeine and hence it should be avoided.
In his case , other pain killers like non steroidal antiinflammatory drugs diclofenac etc can be given.
Thanks and regards
