What Causes Sharp Pain And Soreness In The Nipple Of Right Breast?

Nipple pain is not a common presentation for breast cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
Breast and nipple pain are common breast symptoms that appear in women of all ages. Most of the time a medical reason cannot be found, in which case the pain is not dangerous. Pain is not a common presentation for breast cancer without other associated signs (discharge or a lump). However, in post-menopausal women who do not experience cyclic hormonal changes in the breasts, it should be investigated.
If you have not undergone a mammogram recently and/or have not had a breast exam performed by a physician in the last year, I strongly encourage you to do both. You should also try to express any liquid (if present) from the nipple as well. If you have no nipple discharge and a normal exam and mammogram, you can try evening primrose oil (applied to the breast or taken orally) or anti-inflammatory pain relievers such as ibuprofen.
So in summary- nipple pain usually is not associated with a medical problem and can be treated with pain relievers, however, to be safe I recommend you have a mammogram and a clinical breast examination by a doctor if you have not done so recently (in the last 6 months to a year).
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful. If you have any further questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
