Needs more details..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain sharp pain in cheek and Upper jaw that is not being relieved can be due to causes like any tooth related infection, sinus infection etc..

It can also be nerve related pain..

I would like to know a few more details so that I can guide you better..
1.Is the pain always present or it comes and goes?
2.Is the pain also radiating to Ear, head etc?
3.Do you have any decayed tooth?
4.Do you experience any symptoms like nasal congestion, nasal discharge, post nasal drip etc?
5.Is there any swelling present along with pain?
6.Any recent history of trauma to face?
7.Any medical problems or history of any medicine intake?

Please revert back with answers..

I get it about once a year. it's not radiating. very localized to one spot. sensitive to the touch though. i do have. head cold that I'm fighting. I've never had a cavity so I'd be shocked if it was a dental issue. no swelling and no recent trauma

Brief Answer:
Needs further evaluation..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome back..

As per your answers it seems that the pain can be related to sinus infection as you already have head cold also..

But confirmation of diagnosis needs evaluation by an x ray..

Consult an ENT expert or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated..

As of now you can take Ibuprofen [if not allergic] to relieve pain..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
