What Causes Sharp Pain In Chest While Taking A Deep Breath?
Your symptoms are not cardiac related.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, your symptoms seem to be related to a musculoskeletal pain, probably related to inflammation.
So you have nothing to worry about!
I would exclude any cardiac disorders related to this symptomatology.
I recommend taking painkillers like ibuprofen and acetaminophen three times daily for some days, avoid cold environments and straining physical activity.
If the pain persists and is not relieved by these painkillers, I would recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination and some tests :
-a resting ECG
-chest X ray study
-blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate, blood electrolytes, kidney and liver function tests).
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
Wishing all the best,
