Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back to me ,
I have read your response and i will try to help you in this matter..
In my opinion, the problem with your husband isn't caused by his drugs.,
Sharp pricking piercing pains in chest are most commonly due to stomach issues there might be a small ulcer doing it.
his having the pain with meals also shows that this is something in his stomach.
I would assure you it is quite easily treatable.
1) Don't be anxious about it, it can be gotten ridof in a week or ten days.
2) Increase fibre in food , use whole wheat products instead of white flour, organic fibre supplements can be used as well.
3)Avoid coffee,, tea,, caffeinated stuff,, spicy,junk...
4) A 20 mins walk after dinner will be really helpful.
5) An antacid can be used.
6) I suggest my patients in clinic to get Nexium 40mg daily before breakfast and zantac at night, it really helps them , you can discuss it with yur doctor,
This is expected to settle in a week or so if proper care is taken otheriwse it will get worse .
Wish you guys best of health.
Have a great weekend.
Best regards.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
