What Causes Sharp Pain In Elbows?

Question: I have a sharp pain on the inside of my elbow when ever I lift something like the corner of a mattress when I am making up the bed. Is this a tendon issue?

Seems to be tendonitis.

Hello,
Thanks for your query.

It looks to me that you are having tendonitis ( inflammation of tendon sheath). In this condition there is pain on movements specially which you have described.

I advise you to do following things for treatment--

Icing the elbow to reduce pain and swelling.
Taking painkillers such as paracetamol or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs ( NSAIDs)
Performing a range of motion exercises to reduce stiffness and increase flexibility.
Wear elbow brace . It may help to give support and protection to your elbow until symptoms ease.
