Question: Hi - for the past week, I have had a sharp pain in my left index knuckle and finger (it feels like it's burning), in addition to the feeling like I have a bone in my throat and my neck and knees are aching as well.

Brief Answer:
Needs elaborate laboratory evaluation to establish the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Burning sensation in the knuckle(s) is usually related to some chronic and systemic conditions, but I cannot use it to establish a diagnosis as all such symptoms need elaborate laboratory evaluation, so please do try and consult a doctor for a more elaborate evaluation ma'am.

But I shall go ahead and list as many conditions that come to my mind that can cause such a presentation:

+Diabetes
+Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
+Smoking
+Raynaud's disease
+Contracture (Duputyren's)
+Polymyositis
and a few others.

The aching knees do add to possibilities like SLE, diabetes, etc. But then again, this would be an assumption as it requires laboratory backing up ma'am.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
