Brief Answer:
Tendonitis likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the arm is likely to be related to nerve compression or inflammation like tendonitis. Most commonly it is caused by a tennis elbow or cubital tunnel syndrome or a frozen shoulder.
You can help the improvement by-
1. Give adequate rest to the arm.
2. Apply heat therapy.
3. Get some muscle relaxants prescribed from your orthopedician.
4. Immobilize the arm for a short period.
5. Soft tissue therapy can be used to break down adhesions that may be restricting the nerve.
6. Neural stretching exercises are helpful under the care of a physiotherapist.
Get an MRI scan done to find the exact cause.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Stronger pain killers and muscle relaxants will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If the MRI scan is normal then he needs regular physiotherapy and stronger pain killers for relief. Start with the physiotherapy after the acute pain subsides.
Hope my answer is helpful.
