Brief Answer:
Better to get done chest x ray.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should first diagnose yourself and then start treatment.
So chest x ray is needed in your case to rule out pleurisy and lung collapse.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for lung pathology.
Your pain can be due to simple musculoskeletal cause.
And for this you may need warm water pad application on affected area and painkiller with muscle relaxant drugs.
So better to first diagnose yourself through chest x ray and than start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
