What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Right Side And Urge To Urinate?

could be obstruction of the urinary tract
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
your case sounds like obstruction of the urinary tract. Judging from your symptoms the obstruction should be close to the bladder (perhaps in the ureter). It could be a renal stone or other less common causes. An ultrasound scan would demonstrate indirect signs of obstruction (dilatation of the ureter or renal pelvis). Other renal stones could be identified in the kidneys.
An X-ray could also identify stones in the urinary tract. The CT scan is perhaps the best test but the radiation is a disadvantage. Moving around (walking) may help to dislodge the stone. When the pain is not very intense you can try to increase the fluid intake.
If the pain lasts for long without any relief then you should contact a urologist because a lasting obstruction may cause permanent damage to the kidneys.
