What Causes Sharp Pain In My Vaginal Area?

Question: This just started tonight. I was using the restroom when I felt a sudden painful pressure in my vagina. It literally felt like something was trying to rip and come out. No burning or itching, no strong odor. When I stood up it was like a string from vagina to belly button and it was a sharp pain from one to the other. The pain actually went away bUT I can still "feel" it. I still have a slight pressure in my vagina as well. About an hour ago I bent to pick something up and the same thing. My period isn't due for another 2 weeks. I've never experienced anything like this. Any suggestions?
