Brief Answer:
Either pulmonary or gastric needs evaluation to differentiate

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain in left side of chest with 3 episodes of bronchitis ad pneumonia are connected. It cold be a pleural memrane involvement or an epigastric pain. If the pain increases on deep breath or with coghing then its lungs membranes and if it worsens before of after meals then its gastritis and needs management accordingly.

You need a little work up like chest radiograph etc to rule out recurrent bronchitis and get some pepto and antacids for the relief if its gastritis. Talk to your doctor and let them help you in this regard. I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Thank you for such a quick response. I currently take xforge simvastatin cymbalta atenelol. My daughter n family came from Greece for 3 mo visit. My 3yo granddaughter arrived w cough. It continued until going back. When she got back she started again w nursery school. Her mom was told that her classmate has h1n1. My daughter took her to dr n she has it too. On my first visit to Greece February 2015 I started w bad cough abt 4 days I was due to come home. I went to pharmacy in XXXXXXX for medication. I was told that certain times thes winds from n XXXXXXX come across n cause many respiratory problems w residents

Brief Answer:
Both gastric or pulmonary possibilities. Need evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

The episode of H1N1 flu could explain your chest symptoms and recurrent bronchitis last year after last visit to greece. It is notorious for interstitial pneumonia and very easy to transmit so you might have it too that time.

You should get evaluated for a complete chest work up and and get H1n1 flu evaluation too. With prior history of gastritis , gastric discomfort is also a possibility . So it needs to be looked in to too. Also the three medications you mentioned could cause both respiratory and gastric discomfort. It needs evaluation in both cases. Get to your doctor and let them sort it out for you.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
