Posted on Mon, 28 Aug 2017
Question: Woke up 2 days ago with sharp pain on my left foot. On the top, outside. Between the ankle and the little toe.
No swelling or redness. It doesn't hurt unless I walk on it or try to rub it.

Brief Answer:
Can be metatarsalgia.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain that you have can be due to metatarsalgia. This happens due to mild inflammation. It usually subsides with rest mild pain killers and a hot compress. You can avoid the painful activities and consult an orthopedician for stronger prescription medicines in case this does not help.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
