What Causes Sharp Pain In The Left Upper Quadrant In A Diabetic?
Question: a lump lower left quad, soreness on and off last 6 months lump detected 2 weeks ago. would touch lump, it would go away. as of this morning it seems its here to stay. only once or twice has the pain been acute/sharp. all other times lightly dole. I'm diabetic type b. for 5 years. meds are medforim 1000. and Januvia 50,, pain is more when standing. lying down was going away right away. until today, takes a little longer for pain to subside

I would advise you the following:
Rush to ER or nearest hospital for:
Clinical evaluation, examination and ultrasonography to confirm whether this is obstructed hernia or not and to act upon the advise of the Doctor preferably a General Surgeon - which may be conservative or may be surgery depending upon the clinical findings and investigations.
