What Causes Sharp Pain In The Penis During Urination While On Ciprofloxacin?

default
Posted on Mon, 11 Jul 2016
Question: I had unprotected sex about 5 weeks ago (Out of town). After a couple days I had a sharp pain in penis when urinating. I had blood and urine tests done. While waiting for results the Dr. gave me a 4 pill dose of Zythromax. This had no effect. The tests came back negative - showing I am healthy, but obviously I'm not. Returned to the Dr. got Ciprofloxacin. 2 X per day for 5 days. Dr. said, if this doesn't do it, maybe its Prostititis. We can test for that if needed. Since then I have come home and visited my Dr. without looking or testing, he determined it was Genital Herpes. I started a 1- day treatment 2 X per day with Valacyclovir. This was 3 weeks after the initial infection. Now I am finished the 10 day treatment, but still not feeling right. The pain when urinating is less now, but the current symptoms are:
Some discomfort when urinating
Fatigue
Skin irritation, was from knees to waist, felt like a 1000 needles were in me and when clothes brushed against skin, was 'tingly' Didn't really feel bad, but not good either. Now is mostly just above belt line. More like chaffing now.
Same area with skin irritation, also feel like strained muscles (like after an ab workout) but haven't worked out.
Some shooting pain in various areas at different times. Knee, testicle
One foot has been in pain for a month, didn't hurt it, but it is in pain (top of Right foot)
