Question: 18 YEAR OLD HAS PAIN IN THE RIGHT SIDE UPPER CHEST WITH SHARP PAIN WHEN INHALING. BY LYING ON THE FLOOR SOMACH DOWN THE PAIN SUBSIDES. SEEMS TO NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE A COMPLETE BREATH. ALMOST LIKE A BROKEN RIB ? SHE HAS ALREADY HAD EVERY TEST TO BE DONE LOOKING FOR HEART PROBLEMS BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND.

I can understand your concern.
If chest x ray is done earlier and if it is normal then possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely.
But if chest x ray is not done then get it done first. It will detect if rib is broken or not.
Apply ice pack and warm water pad on affected areas alternately.
Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs .
You can use ultrasound waves also for pain relief.
If you are smoker then quit smoking as soon as possible.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
