What Causes Sharp Pain On Right Side Of Body While Breathing?
Question: My husband has a sharp pain like a pulled muscle or catch in right side. He has shallow breathing due to when he inhales he gets to a point that it is so painful he has to exhale. Involuntary exhale when reaches a pain point. He took 1/2 of a Hycrocodon 7.5-325 at 10:30AM and a 5 MG oxycodone HCL at 9:30 AM and a 10 MG Cyclobenzaprine at 9:30 AM.

Hello,
I have studied your case. I think your husband may have injured his muscles or ribs. He is taking too many pain killers. Ozycodon is not good as it is respiratory depressent and can increase his breathless. Before I advised you any further I would like to know little detail about your illness.
1. Did he had any injury?
2. Is he taking any other medications ?
3.Is he also having any other medical or surgical illness like Diabetes or Thyroid ?

Thank you for responding. He has stopped taking the oxicodone. He is one 3 hypertension meds - (My spelling is terrible) Lisinapril, Atenenol, Betselata (he gave me these over the phone). He thought he may have twisted his back when he was trying to check out the damper in our fireplace Saturday afternoon. He does not have any other medical or surgical illnesses. Thank you again for your assistance.

Apart from taking pain killers if he take Myoril or Myospaz than he will get good relief. These are muscle relaxant and provide fast recovery. He should also use hot water fomentation and Volini gel locally.
