What Causes Sharp Pain Under Breasts While Coughing?
Question: hi, I've been coughing hard for the last two weeks. today I've had sharp pain right under my left breast every time I caugh. it feels like there is no room under the rib cafe with continuous bruise like pain. it seems like getting worse.

In my opinion you are having pleurisy (inflammation of pleura). Chronic cough (cough for 2 weeks) and chest pain on coughing are classic symptoms of pleurisy. There may also be pneumothorax.
Causes of pleurisy are
1. Pneumonia
2. Pleural effusion.
3. TB etc
Please go to the doctor and get a chest x ray done to rule out all these.
Since you are young, cardiac cause is unlikely for your left sided chest pain. If chest x ray is normal than you are mostly having muscular pain. Thus consult your doctor and getthe required investigations done.
