Brief Answer:
A few informations would be helpful.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

A few more information like the following might help me in suggesting you the right management:

1) Exact location of the pain : whether in the upper or lower part of abdomen, or of the chest!!
2) Duration of the pain : For how many days do you have this pain ?
3) Does this pain radiate to any other part of the abdomen ?
4) Any investigations done so far ?
5) Any other associated symptoms like vomiting or loose motions, etc.
6) Any medications used so far.

Till I get these reply from you to help you more, I would advise you to go for some anti spasmodic drug, and a proton pump inhibitor for a symptomatic relief.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems.
Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts. Waiting for your reply.

Brief Answer:
Would need a physical examination and some investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX! Good morning. My regret for the delay as it was quite late hours of night in this sub-continent.

With the kind of history you have given, if I were your doctor, I would advise you for an ultrasound of the whole abdomen, a CBC, LFT (liver function test), and serum amylase/lipase specially if you consume alcoholic beverages, to rule out a gall stone cholecystitis or any pathology of the liver in your case. Depending on its report, a CT/MRI scan might also be needed with your history of prostate cancer. Further management would depend on the results of a physical examination of your abdomen and the related investigation reports.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery.
Dr Shareef.
