What Causes Shooting Pain In The Buttock While Treating CIDP?
I should also mention that the CIDP only caused weakness, paresthesia, inflammation in hands and some autonomic anomalies when active which IVIG seemed to tame. I never had neurological pain with it fortunately.
Can be muscle spasm or nerve root irritation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A sharp shooting pain localized at the right buttock can be due to a mild nerve compression at the area or at the level of lower lumbar spine or due to sudden muscle spasms. This can happen due to methylcobalamin deficiency or electrolyte imbalances.
Applying heat and gentle muscle stretching can help in sudden spasms. You can also get a few blood tests done to find out any deficiency so that suitable supplements can be started.
I hope this answers your query.
