Brief Answer:
Causes of memory gap could be several.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Causes of memory gap are several and include side effects of drugs (antidepressants, sleeping pills, etc.), alchohol, or drugs use, sleep deprivation, anxiety disorder, head injury, stroke and dementias.

So, there is need for more information about your general health condition, past medical history and drugs, habits etc. in order to have a correct opinion about the cause of your concerns.

As a presuggestion, if other conditions such anxiety, head trauma, drugs are excluded, then you should discuss with your primary care Doctor about being evaluated further for conditions such transient ischemic attack, early stages of dementias.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

I remain at your disposal for further questions and clarifications.

Best regards.
