Question: for 3 years my wife has been undergoing periods of declining health after having had great health most of her life. She was recently diagnosed as having a celiac allergy and she has ceased the use of any gluten in her diet. she suffers from a shortnes of breath a dry hack which they mistakenly treated her for 3 years as late onset asthma. tests ruled that out recently. she has migrating pains in her abdomen and body along with very tender skin to the touch.I have a little knowledge of medicine, I am a medical assistant and former emt and my suspicions now lead me to think her problems may be related to either one of the numerous tick borne illnesses or perhaps an infection of some sort like shingles although no rash is apparent. this last bout basically started in January as a bout of the flu but the cough and etc has not subsided. she once was treated with a round of prednisone ( oral) for a 5 day period with great results but now it has seemingly returned.
