What Causes Shoulder Pain After Lifting Heavy Weight?
Question: i have a shoulder pain soreness not sure what caused it perhaps lifting heavy suitcase two days ago
Brief Answer:
Could be a tendon injury inside the shoulder joint.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am Dr Gopal Goel ,Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have read the brief complaint written by you.
In my opinion this soreness and pain occurs when you injure some muscles/ tendons or ligaments around shoulder - most common being biceps tendon or supra spinatous tendon inside the shoulder joint .
I recommend pain killers . muscle relaxants and local heat application for 7-10 days and in there is no improvement in this time you should get an MRI done to confirm the diagnosis. Minor sprains usually improve in 7-10 days.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
