What Causes Skin Colored Bumps On Nose?
Possibility of Intradermal Nevus; Shave excision or Excision Biopsy
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I have taken note of your query and I have also reviewed the Image.
I can see a skin colored/ flesh colored, raised lesion on dorsum of nose.
Considering that it has been present ever since you remember I suggest a possibility of Intradermal Nevus.
Pigment cells/ Melanocytes are deeper in an intradermal nevus and therefore it appears skin colored.
Treatment is usually not required.
However, treatment if desired for cosmetic reasons, it would be either shave excision or excision biopsy Or with a radiofrequency cautery under local anesthesia.
You may contact a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon for the same.

Excision Biopsy would leave a fine scar
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
By Excision biopsy I mean that they would make an elliptical incision around it, excise the whole thing and then stitch the edges together.
The procedure would leave a fine line of scar.
The excised tissue/ biopsy is subsequently sent to the pathology department for a confirmatory diagnosis.
By Shave Biopsy I mean they would shave off the raised part horizontally/ parallel to skin surface.
It would not be stitched and allowed to heal by secondary intention.
The procedure would leave a flat, soft pliable scar of the same size as the original lesion, but is usually not even noticeable.
The exact cost of procedure can be known only if you visit in person and can vary.

Procedure is not painful. It is done under anesthesia.
