Question: Discolouring appeared above the ankle .Now moved to about 6" above.Is very tender and sore to the touch!

I appreciate your concern

You are using the appropriate treatment for any associated inflammation in the shape of Diclofenac/Misprostol.

AP, lateral and mortise X rays should be done primarily to rule out a fracture.

The discoloration is a concern. Vascular patency needs to be determined. Doppler ultrasound (looking for both venous and arterial blood flow adequacy ) should be done in consultation with your doctor.
