What Causes Skin Tags On The Folds Of Buttocks?
Question: I have a skin tag in the fold of my buttocks where they come together and I have a skin tag that is small but has a white too and oozes pus. Can I remove the tag or do I need to get it examined ?
Brief Answer:
Clinical assessment required.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
The lesion in the region of your buttocks could be skin tag or some other lesion.
The nature of the lesion can be determined by clinical assessment.
A X-ray of the pelvic region will assess the relation of the lesion with the pelvic bones.
Excision can be planned thereafter, thus I suggest you to consult your surgeon for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management.
If the lesion is not connected with the pelvic bones, surgical excision can be done followed by histopathological examination to know its exact nature.
If you ave more queries, I will be glad to answer.
Thanks and take care
