What Causes Sleeplessness, Loss Of Appetite And Motion Sickness In Infants?
Question: Hi, My daughter is 17 months old, weight is around 7.5 Kg , for past few days she is not taking her diet (only a few spoons 7-8 spoons per meal and that to two to three times in a day and the rest of the time she is on breast feeding) she is very much restless and most of the time she is crying. today I noticed one rash/blister inside her mouth and took her to pedi. and was advised CYP-L, D-LIQ, Tonoferon and Pedicloryl. She usually sleeps during night time from around 11.30 to 12.00 till morning 7.30 to 8.00 AM and during the whole day approx 45 minutes nap at around 11.30 AM and 15 minutes around 6.00 PM. Her diet in the morning one bowl mixture of cereal with milk 75 ml around 9.00 AM ,the same thing ½ bowl around 11.30 AM ,afternoon 2.30 pm - 75ml milk with banana and equal portion of massed rice, little pomegranate around 5.00 pm around 6.30 pm mixture of rawa with milk 50 ml and around 10.00 PM banana and roti massed in 75 ml of milk. Her motions are regular but solid hard and very little, color is normal, urination gap is 4 hours approx. during day time and once during night time sleep. My concern is sleep duration, diet and motion. Can suggest something about the medication prescribed today ?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
I can understand your concern.
Every infant show different character in routine like food habit , bowel habit or sleep.
In my opinion your daughter is doing well as per her schedule given by you, unless she is irritable most of the time.
Her doctor has given her good medications accordingly, her food and bowel movement will improve after theses medicines.
If she is playful and happy, there is nothing to worry about.
Hope I have answered your query.
If any thing else you are welcome.
Good luck.
