What Causes Slight Bleeding During Defecation?

May be Hemorrhoids - needs evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query for your wife.
Read and understood the problem your wife has: Female / 53 - three miscarriages in past - has gas problems - taking Tylenol for severe cold - allergic to onions - had blood in the last stool and on toilet paper - thinking of hemorrhoids -
If the bleeding was without any pain at all, there are more chances of Hemorrhoids being the cause.
If the bleeding is with pain at the anal verge then the chances are more for anal fissure.
I would advise the following in such a case considering the age of the patient and this being the first occurrence:
Examination by a Surgeon for per-rectal examination, ano-proctoscopy stat means ASAP, Colonoscopy as a routine in every patient of bleeding P/R (per-rectal), routine investigations of the blood, urine and stool, ultrasonography as she has gas problems
I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis at the earliest as out field is evidence-based; it is necessary to see the exact problem.
Please feel free to ask for further questions if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.
