What Causes Slight Pain And Itching In Left Rib Cage?

Question: I have minimal pain and itching near my left rib cage. To touch it feels hard as rock in that area.

I can understand your concern.
Possibility of muscular spasm is more.
But better to rule lung pathology like mass lesion.
Because this can also cause similar symptoms.
So first get done chest x ray to rule out lung pathology.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry much.
It might be simple muscle spasm.
