What Causes Slurred Speech, Trouble Walking And Confusion?

please describe current medicnes going on
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Thanks for writing to us.I am sorry for sudden death of your brother.
The symptoms you mentioned,"slurring my speech, having a lot of trouble walking, feeling as if I were drunk. I TRY to make it somewhere because I know I'm going to fall. Then I just fall asleep. I'm disoriented confused." are suggestive of extra pyramidal side effects of anti psychotic drugs.Let me know details about medicines your are taking currently for review.
Onset of symptoms with death of brother of course suggests grief/anxiety. However slurring of speech, difficulty walking and disorientation are not seen in this type of stress normally. For confirmation we need to rule out other possibilities from neurological and medicine side effects point of view.
Also mention if you have history of blood pressure, cardiac problem, neurological problem or diabetes.
I will be happy to help further after your response.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.

exhaustion can cause such problem
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for information.
Migraine, stress of sudden death of brother, no significant neurological finding on testing and your confidence that medicines cannot cause such symptoms lead to diagnosis of excessive anxiety and fatigue.
If you did not eat well and sleep enough after death of brother your body is reacting through these symptoms. You need enough rest ,good diet and relaxation in that case to stable yourself.
However I again request you to give me name of medicines so I can give comment on that aspect.Sometime anti psychotic medicines can cause EPS after long time also.
Take care.

I gave a very intricate listing of all my meds Dosages and when taken
grief more than one month should be addressed to prevent depression
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I can understand the phase through which you are passing. Grief lasts for 1 to 6 months in general. However severity of symptoms gradually decreases as time passes. If your symptoms persist for more than one month with same severity without much improvement better to consult your doctor for prevention of depression. Early intervention can give the best results.
Supportive psychotherapy also can help to manage your emotions.
Wish you good health.
