What Causes Small Black Colored Seed Type Objects In Stool?
Question: I have been getting small black sesame seed looking objects in my stool. Certainly does not look like blood.

Bleeding from upper GI tract(stomach, duodenum) will be black in colour like you mentioned it rightly.Lower GI(small intestinal) bleed is XXXXXXX red in color.
Hence I would ask for stool sample analysis for presence of blood.
Do you have a history of stomach ulcer or any other medical illness?Surgery in past?
Are you taking any medicine currently?
Do have alcohol?

I had ulcers in stomach about 12 years ago. I had upper endoscopyy last year and had no ulcers. I drink alcohol about once every month. Only prior surgeries were appendectamy and pilonidal abcess. The stool is still solid. Not black. Nothing red or tarry in stool. These things really look like sesame seeds. Perfectly shaped. Could i have a parasite? I am not losing weight. Actually gaining a bit this year.

Yes tarry, coffee brown seed appearance of stool indicates bleeding from stomach ulcer.Blood reacts with acid in the stomach and becomes black which is expelled in stool.
In case you have noticed any movement of the seed like things then it is suggestive of worm infestation.
I would ask for a stool analysis for presence of blood as discussed earlier with routine stool examination which can identify the presence of parasite if any. Plan for a consultation with surgeon to plan further management.
Donot have alcohol since it will precipitate bleeding from the stomach.
