What Causes Small Bump On Inner Forearm?

default
Posted on Fri, 18 Sep 2015
Question: I have a small bump on my inner forearm. I've had it for years. Sometimes it gets bigger, sometimes it gets smaller. It's not really tender - unless pushed on or bumped. It seems to be along the line of one of my veins or arteries (I don't know which, I'm not a doctor, LOL).

Detailed Answer:
Hi,Dear ,thanks for your query to HCM Virtual Clinic.
I studied all the details in the query and reviewed it with your photo updates.
I understood your health concerns and would try to solve as soon as possible to the best of my expertise.

Need Added Information-
Before I opine on your lump, it would nice if you update more info as follows-
-How many years this lump is there?
-Does the veins around the lump get bigger when the lump gets bigger?Or its the veins which get bigger and you are not sure about the growth in the lump.
-Does it move or is fixed ?
-On which forearm the lump is ? seems to be on Right forearm.
-Any other similar lump in your body at some other locations as thighs/abdomen/back/loin?
Are you overweight and How much ?
Please update this information at your convenience.

In the mean while till I get above information, from the facts available I would suggest on its Cause-
Cause of the lump on inner side of the forearm-
By the presence for many years, being painless, and with my clinical experience,
this tumor is of Benign Type. And you need not worry.
But still it requires some investigations to confirm whether its really benign or cancerous.I would give further treatment plans after I get the above information.

Await your more information and any other query in this regard.

Have a good day.

Brief Answer:
Lipoma with overlapping Vein Rt.Forearm

Detailed Answer:
Lipoma with overlapping Vein Rt.Forearm.

Hi,Dear,thanks for the precise reply.
Read and Reviewed your query with your last reply and crosschecked with
your photographs,

In My Opinion-you seem to have Lipoma with overlapping Vein Rt.Forearm.

-Cause of Your Rt Forearm Lump-
Mostly your right forearm Lump seems to be a Benign Lump and NOT to be worried as it would never spread and grow.

-My Suggestions for Confirmation of Type of Tumor-
Consult ER Surgeon as soon as possible-
and would clinically confirm by physical checks,
and would get basic blood tests done for your age(49) to rule out any other aging ailments.
who would, get the FNAC BIOPSY with HPR study done for of the Rt.Forearm Lump, before planning line of treatment.

-Plan of Treatment of Your Right Forearm Lump-
Once your FNAC Biopsy Histo-pathological Report confirms your Lump as Lipoma or Neuro Lipoma, your Lump is confirmed to be of Benign and non-malignant Type.
Though the Size variation is observed, they are incidental changes, which really don't suggest any indication of Malignant Change in it.
So you don't have to worry of the Nature of tumor.

-Definitive Treatment Advise for your Rt.Forearm Lump-
Surgical Excision Biopsy with HPR,would be done from your ER Surgeon as
planned Surgery, which is usually a minor OPD(Out Patient Department) Surgical Procedure.
Future Prognosis-
Check your Histo-pathological Report, which would confirm the Exact Tissue Type and Histo-Pathological (Benign/Cancerous)Nature of Lump. This would give Long Lasting Relief of any danger from Such a Lump at your right Forearm.
Chances of Recurrences at that site are very less after surgery.

Hope this would resolve all your worries and would give you full satisfaction for the query asked from you.
