What Causes Small Itchy Bumps On Ankles, Neck, Face And Arms?

Question: thur. started getting small round bumps,then itchy.each day since, more bumps and more itching.a few started to get white,small head in middle.i 1st thought they were chiggers.loose clothing rubbing on some make itchy feeling.ankles,around neck,few on face,arms,legs.indiviual round bumps.

Either photodermatitis or eczematous dermatitis

Hi
I have reviewed the attached photograph.
It seems to be either photodermatitis or eczematous dermatitis.
Have you been in the sun?
Have you used or applied anything new on the body?
Is this the first episode?
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply potent steroid like clobetasol propionate cream or betamethasone cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminics like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg twice daily.
You can continue this for 7-10 days.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

good morning. nothing new on body. but was in florida, on the Gulf,outside alot, right near the water for 8 days. not very much direct sun,but hot,some humid days, some windy days.there were these little gnat like bugs,that would land on us and bite,called noseums(dont know how to spell or pronounce).they didnt seem to make welts though. but i am not use to being outside much at home or work(Kansas).and they did not itch. started itching roughly 36 to 40 hours after leaving Florida. if i rub or scratch 1 then i rub more and more. i ice b4 bed,the ankles and back of neck. lets me sleep an hour,then wake itching. can it just go away? any other overcounter work??? NEVER had this b4. thanks. XXXXXXX

Can be due to insect bite hypersensitivity reaction

Detailed Answer:
It can be insect bite hypersensitivity reaction but again you need potent topical steroids and antihistaminics.
If it still doesn't resolve you may need a short course of oral steroids.
These preparations won't be available as over the counter.
