Question: hi I have a small lump on the left side of my neck about a pea size, it isn't sore but i have a headach and very tired hoping you can help

Brief Answer: Most likely a normal lymphnode Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for the query. Lump on the sides of neck are usually lymphnodes and the size you are describing is normal and should not be worried about as these are not to investigated, If you have found a lump which is showing a change in size, tenderness, consistency and mobility, only then it needs to be evaluated. The lymphnodes are normal part of neck and some changes in size or appearance and disappearances are part of normal bodily variations. Most commonly any focus of infection in the head and neck region leads to lymphnode enlargement in neck. If your lump is increasing in size or is getting fixed to the surrounding structures, please consult an ENT for complete examination.
