What Causes Small Pimple Like Bumps On Base Of Penis?
Question: I have 2- 3 small pimple like bumps (1mm or smaller) appear in the last week two on the base of the penis shaft and another on the scrotum. They don't hurt but they appeared out of no where and are still present. I am sexually active and 37 yrs of age. Are they clogged sebaceous or sweat glands? I do work out frequently? Thanks

Hi
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
The picture you have provided it not very clear. From first look, these lesions appear something like molluscs. But I would like to have a closer look at the exact skin lesions for confirmation.
Please click some good resolution close up pictures of the affected area and upload them on this page.
I am sure I will be able to help you better once you provide me with the pictures.

I have uploaded some better pictures. There are only three spots and one may well be a fordyce. They don't appear to have a central indentation characteristic of molluscs but you would know better.
Brief Answer:
Harmless skin lesions..do not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Thanks for the pictures.
You are right. The lesions surely don't look like molluscs on a closer look. These are probably enlarged sebaceous glands or maybe even Fordyce spots. Nothing really needs to be done about these at present. In most cases, these lesions tend to slowly shed on their own.
If this does not occur, application of tretinoin based creams might be required. But these are basically prescription drugs, so you might have to see a local doctor for prescription.
For the time being, however, you can wait and watch the lesion for spontaneous resolution.
