What Causes Small Pinkish Red Bumps On Stomach And Genital Region?
Suspecting miliaria or intertrigo
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic.
If genital warts and genital herpes have been ruled out, I am suspecting miliaria/heat rash or intertrigo which usually presents like how you have described in your query.
Miliaria and Intertrigo usually occurs in skin folds where there is increased sweating and these areas are more prone for bacteria and fungi to grow easily.
These rashes usually occur in overweight individuals. They appear as small papules which may ooze later.
You can get skin scrapings from that area to be tested for bacterial and fungal culture to rule out infection in that area.
For now, take Tab Atarax 25 mg twice daily for three days for the itching.
Keep the area clean and dry.
Avoid clothes of coarse fiber like wool, denim and leather.
Please upload a picture of the rash on the link provided for me to come to a definitive diagnosis.
Please get back if any more queries.
Thanks.
Apply prickly heat powder over them, Take Atarax for itching
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
I am glad to know, there is no ooze.
I suggest you apply prickly heat powder over the lesions, and take Tab Atarax as prescribed in my previous reply.
Try analyzing the events which might have lead to these lesions. I am trying to rule out allergic reaction to any particular soap, cosmetic or fabric.
Keep those areas clean and dry. Maintenance of personal hygiene is a must.
If they do not reduce in a week, a dermatologist opinion is recommended.
You should get the skin scrapings from those areas tested for culture.
I hope I have cleared your doubts.
Please get back if any more queries.
Thanks.
