Brief Answer:
2% ketoconazole or antibacterial soap bar
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for writing in to HCM.
As I understand it, you are distressed with a 'smell' from your armpits.
This is a common phenomenon as a lot of sweat & other oily glands are located in the armpit & their secretions together with bacteria cause this to occur. At times of stress & in humid climates etc, it gets worse. It is not a 'sickness' as such.
Might I suggest a simple treatment of shaving your armpit hair & then applying a soap/bar of 2% ketoconazole (eg Nizoral/Keto bar) that can be easily got as an OTC product or a bar called Cetaphil antibacterial bar....whichever available easily in your part of the world. But the guiding principle is 'contact time' . Make sure the soap remains on your skin for at least 5-10 mts daily (armpits & groin) while bathing. Do this for 2 weeks & am sure you will find good relief.
If in the rare instance, this persists, then please visit your nearest friendly dermatologist & you may use this HCM site to source one out. :)
Good Luck & take care. Hope you feel better soon.
